Nathan D. Ford MD is a UCLA/Charles R. Drew School of Medicine graduate and a distinguished member of the board of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). He completed his initial year of training in the general surgery program at Harbor-UCLA medical center in Torrance, CA, and began his general medical practice in Los Angeles in 2013. Splitting his time between practice locations in Downtown LA, Long Beach, south LA, and West Hollywood, Dr. Ford has been able to focus the majority of his efforts toward service to the medically underserved, indigent population in the city while also providing specialized care to the pro athletes, entertainers, and executives that also call Los Angeles their home.
Since his introduction to the anti-aging and regenerative medicine field, he has redirected his efforts toward implementing preventative and restorative care methods. The nuanced, cutting-edge approach comprising anti-aging and regenerative medicine is traditionally considered cost-prohibitive to historically medically underserved populations. However, Dr. Ford has made it his mission to make this field's foundational principles of care available and accessible to all his patients, regardless of socioeconomic status. In December 2020, he was awarded a faculty speaking position on the board for the A4M Annual World Congress. His presentation focused on why and how his colleagues should and must begin to expand their services to medically underserved populations.
the Approach
A core tenet of Dr. Ford’s care approach is empowering the patient through education. He believes informed patients make informed decisions. When given the proper tools, medical guidance, and education, people can take control of their lives, health, and ultimately, happiness.
