Bio-Identical Hormone Replace Therapy for women

One of the core principles of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine is the belief that chronological age doesn’t define a women’s full-spectrum health. Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy “BHRT” is the building block of this modern approach to medicine. BHRT can help patients achieve full and healthy lives regardless of age. Hormones are crucial in regulating various bodily functions beyond menstruation and menopause. The most recent and well-supported research shows the relationship between balanced hormones and women’s overall health. Hormones are tiny chemical messengers that travel through the bloodstream to regulate growth, metabolism, reproduction, sexual function, energy levels, mood, and sleep cycles.

Unfortunately, women's health continues to be a taboo topic, especially in today’s political climate, regardless of the many advancements in medicine. Over the past decade, Dr. Ford has integrated his specialty in anti-aging and regenerative medicine into his general practice to help address his patient’s “whole-body” health. Dr. Ford’s board affiliation with the American Academy for Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (A4M) has enabled him to serve as a faculty member and lecturer. This academic achievement has been instrumental in widening Dr. Ford’s scope of practice and educating his medical colleagues on the importance of implementing hormone optimization care into general medicine, particularly in female and underserved populations.

Comprehensive blood work is the basis of new patient intake and examination. Dr. Ford’s highly technical protocol centers on the principle that patients should be treated for the cause rather than the symptom (s). The advancement of preventive care and anti-aging medicine has made it possible to improve and save women's lives by restoring hormone balance. Dr. Ford’s individualized approach to therapy has enabled him to create customized treatment plans for his patients to balance hormones and optimize their whole body health.

All patients should be treated as the unique individuals they are. The body is an immensely complex organism; medicine should never be approached as “one size fits all.

BHRT for women

Relieve, minimize, & help prevent unwanted symptoms of aging.

Dr. Ford firmly believes that an informed patient is a good patient. A significant component of his patient care plan is patient education, as he considers it essential for his patients to make conscious health decisions outside the treatment room. Medicine has no miracle cures; a medical professional can and should never make such claims. Patients often experience side effects when implementing a new treatment plan into their daily regime.

Side effects of BHRT, particularly in the preliminary stages of treatment when the body undergoes a regulation process, may lead to temporary symptoms that usually subside once the body adapts to the adjustments. Symptoms may include:

  • Breast tenderness

  • Bloating

  • Headaches

  • Breakouts

  • Mood swings

  • Slight/temporary weight gain

While side effects are common, patients experiencing pain, prolonged discomfort, or anything that seems outside the scope of “normal” should contact our office without hesitation. Patients often require adjustments to their treatment plans; patient-provider trust is the backbone of Ford Wellness Center, and patient care is our sole priority.
